Mario vs Donkey Kong. Review. Good ideas executed on time

When the new Mario vs Donkey Kong title was announced at last year’s Nintendo Direct, the expectations generated were many, and when this happens on many occasions the game has perhaps exaggerated obligations to satisfy an increasingly demanding Gamer audience. all below.
History:
The story, like any arcade adventure game, does not beat around the bush, and begins directly every time we run the game as a presentation; Mario and his toy factory have released a new model of the funniest plumber, I’m talking about Super Mario Bros, these “mini Marios” sell out in less than a cricket sings, Donkey Kong sees the toy advertising on TV, and is hallucinated by him, the bad thing is that he later finds out the sad reality that they are “sold out”, that is why he attacks the Super Mario toy factory and steals all the “mini Mario” that were being produced. Due to this, Mario will try to recover the toys in each level of each world where Donkey Kong will escape.
Development:
Each level is divided into two phases, the objective of the game is to get a key to open the door and pass the level, in each level you will have to overcome many obstacles; one of them are the different classes of enemies, these are divided into the different types of worlds in which Mario will chase Donkey Kong, among the worlds we can find “mountains of fire”, “toy factories”, “icy landscapes”, «jungles», on many occasions the game invites you to use your head a lot to be able to navigate the levels, since we will have to go through areas making them disappear and reappear and then to access places that we couldn’t, which I find very satisfying, Each level has its imprint and is never repeated.
In the different worlds there will be a secret level, and to access it you just have to be a perfectionist and collect all the gifts in each level, in all of them there will be three, two in a phase and the last one is the most difficult to access in the last phase of the level. .
Obviously, we cannot forget that at the end of each world we will have to face Donkey Kong and defeat him with the imprint of each world, this phase is always determined in favor of Donkey Kong, by this I mean that, if we are in the mountains of fire, the lava will be in your favor, as will the jungle, where it will throw us the classic mechanical toy crocodile heads.
We will also have a special mandatory level; In my opinion, the most complicated part of the game, which will be guiding our mini Mario toys to a drawer through a level full of traps, these types of levels appear at the end of each world, and believe me, they will not only put your ability to player to test, but also your brain, since here it is more about thinking and solving puzzles than anything else.
Which I really didn’t like.
There are two things to keep in mind, the first is that at least for me in “normal” mode it was very easy, mind you there are more difficult modes, but in normal I almost walked through it achieving a perfect in each level, and Second is its duration, it is not one of the longest Nintendo Switch games by any means, even though it is replayable, but that is another thing, however if you read the previous in this review you will realize that the game is fun and a lot.
Graphics and sound:
The graphics are excellent and if they reflect very well the power of the Nintendo Switch in its final journey of life, the soundtrack is just right, nothing extraordinary.
In conclusion:
Mario vs Donkey Kong meets certain points as I said, it fails in others, which could have been much better, I have no doubt about that, it is not essential either, but it is not at all a bad game as many are saying.
