The Last of us Part 2 Remastered. Review.

The perfect formula to improve even the unbeatable.
Development:
Thanks to Playstation we had the definitive honor of reviewing the controversial GOTY of 2020, many things were said, here and there, good and bad, the truth is that there was something indisputable The Last of us Part 2 is a great game, I know no matter where you see it.
Like most of my journalist colleagues, I find it absurd to detail the development of the story at this point in the game; Since it is obvious that whoever would have been interested in the title has already played it or has known its story on YouTube, for what has been said, we are going to delve into what is new about this PS5 version, and whether or not it is worth getting the game .
The improved appearance.
The Last of us Part 2 Remastered offers a wide visual and resolution improvement on PS5, but this factor is only at the resolution and framerate level above all things, visually there are obviously improvements, although minimal.
Now here is a somewhat obvious fact, the jump from a PS4 to PS5 is big, remember that the game did not reach sixty frames per second on the Sony home console of the last generation, only at thirty-one Full HD resolution ( 1080p) however in the improved version of the PS4, I’m talking about the PS4 Pro model, the resolutions were 1080p at sixty frames per second in fidelity mode or 1440p at 30 frames per second in resolution mode, well on PS5 those values are like in languages programming multiplied, reaching 1440p at 60 FPS in dynamic mode and native 4k and 30 frames per second in resolution mode; It may sound a bit detailed but believe me the difference is noticeable, however this issue of resolutions and frames per second is misleading, why? Because the game can be enjoyed on any console, be it PS4, Pro, or PS5, however the differences are at the time of day, perhaps not so notable, but they are, they are.
No Return Mode:
The mode of no return is a very complete Roguelike in the universe of The Last of us Part 2, in a roguelike we choose a character from the game’s history, among them are the protagonist Ellie, Dina, Joel, Tommy, Abby, Mel among others. In this mode you have to pass a series of levels with twelve different themes, including: the gas station, the forest, the hospital, the television station, in short, the levels that we will see in the game. The game consists of going through these levels, overcoming them to move on to more difficult tests until reaching a boss, the enemies also vary in each level, there will be a test to pass with bonuses if we achieve certain objectives such as «shooting a headshot», the Enemies in each level will be specific to that challenge, such as monsters or infected; snappers, stalkers, swollen on one side, human; Seraphites, Wolves on the other, after finishing each level we will return to our lair where we can buy weapons, level up, improve objects, in short what is necessary for the next challenge that will be more complicated.
But it doesn’t all end there, to access all the characters the game invites you to unlock them, overcoming challenges and achievements, which is why I found this mode incredible and new in every way.
That’s not all, extras and lost levels.
The Last of us Part 2 Remastered contains many extras, trophies to unlock, but the best of all are the lost levels, three levels discarded from the game, playable, in them we will find explanations from the developers about «why» they were discarded, an addition which shows us a little more behind the scenes of the game, especially for those of us who want to be video game developers.
Conclusion:
The Last of us Part 2 Remastered is the definitive version of this masterpiece, a more than justifiable expense for every fan of the saga who owns a Playstation 5.
